April is Autism Acceptance Month, and we are excited to announce our 2026 Accessible Faith Initiative activities! This annual initiative helps places of worship create welcoming and supportive environments where autistic individuals and their families can thrive and grow in their faith.

Through our Accessible Faith Initiative, we share resources and guidance to help congregations become more autism friendly. Since 2016, we have provided webinars, educational materials, prayer groups, autism awareness events, and other tools designed to equip faith communities for meaningful inclusion.

Resources Available

  • 2026 Activity Toolkit — Tips and ready-to-use materials that can help your church take steps toward becoming more autism-friendly.
  • Space to Belong — A new program that will provide sensory tools and support for churches interested in creating a sensory corner or dedicated sensory room.

Additional details will be shared soon.

We are grateful to Waikiki Baptist Church for their generous donation, which helped to make Space to Belong possible!

In the meantime, please visit our Resources Page. It is filled with recommended books, infographics, webinars, and videos that can help you and your place of worship become more autism friendly. Additional videos are available on our YouTube page.

Together Conference

Have you heard about the Together Conference? It’s a two-day Special Needs Ministry Conference that will be hosted on March 20 – 21, 2026 in Dallas, GA. We will have an exhibitor space there and our Board President, Tonya Nash, will be leading a breakout session. The session will be called, Autism Awareness in Your Church: Building Understanding & Belonging. There’s still time to register!

Let’s work together to build faith communities where everyone truly has a place to belong!
