Hello friends! April is almost here and we have some news to share with you! As many of you know, we provide faith-based resources for Autism Acceptance Month each year as part of our Accessible Faith Initiative. This year, our focus will be on recruiting volunteers and sharing resources.
Volunteer Drive
We are in need of volunteers! Our vision is huge, but the hands to fulfill it are few. In April, we plan to start training volunteers willing to help us in the following areas:
- Church Outreach
- Marketing and Communications
- Fundraising
- Social Media
- Administrative Tasks
- Graphic Design
We are also open to other ideas you may have about volunteering! All volunteer work will be virtual, so you can live anywhere in the continental United States and support our efforts. If you are interested, please fill out this form and we will be in touch with you soon! More information about our Volunteer Drive is soon to come.
2024 Activity Toolkit
Are you interested in starting a disability ministry at your church, but you aren’t sure where to start? If so, we have the perfect resource for you! Most people automatically think that you have to start big with a well-funded program, but starting small can lead to huge results! We have a resource that provides multiple ideas that can help a church with any sized budget get started. The 2024 Accessible Faith Initiative Activity Toolkit is now available for download! This FREE resource includes the following:
- A Welcome Letter

- The Do’s and Don’ts of Making Your Place of Worship Inclusive for Autistic Children
- Disability Ministry Groups
- Frequently Asked Questions
- Testimonials from Participating Churches
- And More!
You can download the Activity Toolkit by filling out this form. Please note that you may be contacted and asked to fill out a short survey to see if the Toolkit was helpful to you and your ministry.
New Infographics
We have two new infographics that may be helpful to your place of worship.
- How to Nurture the Faith of Your Autistic Child provides six tips for parents desiring to teach their autistic child about God.
- How Church Leadership Can Support Autistic Children and their Families has six steps that leaders can take to welcome and support autistic families.
A special thank you goes out to Graham Nash of Grilljam, LLC for helping our vision come to pass with these infographics!
As always, please feel free to reach out if you have questions about making your place of worship more autism friendly. If we don’t have the answer, we will connect you with some of our fellow disability ministry groups for support.
Be on the lookout for more information about our April events and resources!
Have a blessed day!
