This is an exciting week for the Autism Faith Network! Have you heard about our FREE webinars and toolkits? We have a webinar coming up on Wednesday and a special announcement that will take place on Friday. Also, places of worship have one more week to download one of our resources and implement an activity for a FREE sensory toolkit!

Ryan Wolfe, President of Ability Ministry, will be our special guest! Those attending this webinar will learn about:
-
- Tools for starting a Disability Ministry
-

You don’t want to miss this webinar, which will stream on our Facebook and YouTube pages. Be sure to sign up for notifications so that you don’t miss out. Tell a friend!
Earlier this month, we held a webinar on Promoting Autism Awareness Among our Youth. Kelsey Hollis, the reigning Miss Georgia, was our guest speaker. You can watch the replay on our YouTube channel.
A Special Announcement
We will be making a special announcement on Friday, April 28th. Our board has been working hard behind the scenes and we can’t wait to share this news with you! It’s the perfect way to close out Autism Acceptance Month and we know you will share in our excitement. Stay tuned!
Free Sensory Toolkit
Have you downloaded our Activity Toolkit and/or Children’s Ministry Prayer Guide yet? Places of worship that download and implement an activity from them will be eligible for a FREE sensory toolkit! Your activity must take place in April, in honor of Autism Acceptance Month.
We only have a few days left in April, but there’s still plenty of time for you to participate! Our Activity Toolkit includes activities as small as reading something about autism awareness during the announcements of your Sunday Morning Service. We also have social media templates that your place of worship can share to promote autism awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The Activity Toolkit and Children’s Ministry Prayer Guide are a FREE resource for your place of worship, so download them today and implement one of the activities so that your place of worship can receive a FREE sensory toolkit!
Our Sensory Toolkit includes items that may help to calm an autistic person experiencing sensory overload. These items include:
-
- Headphones for adults
-
- Headphones for children
-
- A variety of fidget toys
We also include print resources for your place of worship that can assist you in serving persons with disabilities and their families.
Those who download our resources will receive an email in early May, requesting them to fill out a short survey. In the survey, you will be asked to share your thoughts about the Activity Toolkit and Prayer Guide. You will also be asked to tell us about the activity you chose for your place of worship. We will mail out a sensory toolkit to your place of worship once we receive your completed evaluation.
Please reach out to us via email if you have any questions.
