Today marks a very special milestone. We’re celebrating 6 years of service as a nonprofit!
To truly appreciate where we are today, we have to go back to where it all began.
In 2016, our Board President and Founder, Tonya Nash, had a vision to help create more welcoming and inclusive faith communities for autistic individuals and their families.
As the mother of two autistic children, Tonya personally experienced the impact of a church coming alongside a family affected by autism and providing a welcoming, loving environment for the entire family. She saw how meaningful that support could be and wanted other families to experience it too.
Tonya set out to spread the word about the difference a faith community can make. Friends from around the country joined her vision and began creating autism awareness programs in their own churches. Each year, the vision grew.
In 2020, during the pandemic, the foundation was laid for Autism Faith Network to become a nonprofit organization.
By God’s grace, we are still here six years later!
Our vision has grown into three impactful initiatives that serve faith communities, autistic individuals and their families, and the incredible supporters who believe in this mission.
